All the members are from the Machine Intelligence Laboratory, the University of Tokyo.

Name Profile
Yujin Tang Yujin Tang is a second year PhD student in the Machine Intelligence Laboratory.
His research interests are deep reinforcement learning and robotics.
He is the team leader of UT_MIL@Home and is very optimistic about personal robots.
James Borg James Borg is a first year Masters student in the Machine Intelligence Laboratory.
His research interest is in real time object detection in video and hopes that by the conclusion of the competition HSR will be capable of fetching him beers from the fridge.
Jen-Yen Chang Jen-Yen Chang is a second-year Master's Student at Machine Intelligence Laboratory.
His research interests includes, but not limited to, Computer Vision, Human Behavior Understanding and Robotics.
He received his B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the National Taiwan University in 2016.
Yusuke Kurose Yusuke Kurose is a project researcher in in the Machine Intelligence Laboratory.
His research interests include surgical robotics, visual tracking in a surgical vision, and machine learning for object recognition and manipulation.
Toshihiko Matsuura Toshihiko Matsuura is a fourth year undergraduate student in the Machine Intelligence Laboratory.
His research interests are Bayesian inference, machine learning with missing data and object recognition.
Mohammad Reza Motallebi Mohammad Reza Motallebi is a first year PhD student at the Machine Intelligence Lab, University of Tokyo.
Prior to this, he worked as a Software Engineer at two major e-commerce companies after receiving his MSc in Computer Science.
His research interests include object tracking and movement prediction in videos using deep learning.
He would like to make intelligent personal assistants smarter, more customizable and ubiquitous!
Francesco Savarese Francesco Savarese is a PhD student in computer engineering with the Politecnico di Torino, Torino, Italy.
Actually he is a visiting student at Machine Intelligence Lab of The Tokyo University, Tokyo, Japan.
His research interests include path planning algorithms for autonomous systems and multimodal Neural Networks.
He received his MS degree in automation and computer engineering from the Politecnico di Torino in 2015.
Takayoshi Takayanagi Takayoshi Takayanagi is a first year student of Master course in Machine Intelligence Laboratory.
His research interest is action planning of robots by using images from camera.
He thinks support robot will become essential for we human in the future.
Antonio Tejero-de-Pablos Antonio Tejero-de-Pablos received a B.E. in telematics engineering and a M.E.in telecommunications engineering from University of Valladolid, Spain, in 2009 and 2012 respectively.
He received a Ph.D. in information sciences from Nara Institute of Science and Technology (NAIST), Japan, in 2017.
He is currently a researcher at the University of Tokyo. His research interests include action recognition, video summarization, user interfaces and general-purpose computing on GPU. He is a member of the IEEE.
Yingyi Wen Yingyi Wen is a first year PhD student in the Machine Intelligence Laboratory.
Her research interest is anomaly detection.
She is also working in the R&D center of NSK Ltd., where some robot arms for production line have been developed.
Li Yang Yang Li is a first year PhD student in the Machine Intelligence Laboratory.
His research interests are Visual SLAM and Robot Navigation.
He believe that the day of Robot SLAM will come soon.
